The Kilt & Mini Bash historically attracts an eclectic mix of 100's of urban city dwellers from throughout the Greater Seattle region as well as individuals from Portland, Vancouver B.C. + we've guests have flown in from as far away as San Diego, Denver, Dallas, New York City.

2010 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Kilt & Mini Bash which will coincidently will be hosted on April 10th!
Thus we envision this year as a Reunion of sorts and thus an opportunity to welcome back all those who have attended the Bash over the past 10 years and therefore we've set our sights on packing our luxurious venue full of kilt & mini enthusiasts!

Bash participants typically range in age from 25 - 54, though it can be difficult to tell who's older as wearing kilts and minis tends to shave years off one's appearance and make one feel and act much younger (providing a lasting effect).  Learn more about the History of the Bash.

Kilt & Mini Bash VIII is being hosted at Republiq, a brand new, deluxe music & entertainment venue located in the heart of Seattle's SODO neighborhood (a couple blocks south of Starbucks Headquarters) conveniently located close to downtown with ample street parking plus paved and lighted sidewalks.

Our venue will feature a tented exterior red carpet entrance line, cathedral ceilings, Venician plaster walls, art sculptures, LED lighting throughout, 15' waterwall, immersive sound, lighting and video system, floor to ceiling video wall, 3 premium bars (accepting both credit cards & cash), sheer draped lounges with leather couches & coat check.

Plus, as always, we personally make sure plenty of friendly security staff will be on hand to make certain you have a safe and pleasant evening.
The Kilt & Mini tradition began 10 years ago and has become a hip, urban Celtic-inspired celebration coinciding annually with National Tartan Day, which in 2005 became the official U.S. holiday paying tribute to the influence of Scottish Americans on our U.S. culture.  The Bash is an example of what every theme event should be ~ a massively fun evening with a theme that carries you throughout the whole evening AND thanks to our famous Lame Tax you can rest assured EVERY man and woman will be wearing either a kilt, minikilt or miniskirt!
For the complete story of how the Kilt & Mini came to be check out our Bash History + learn about the History of the Kilt & where Miniskirts originated as well!
SATURDAY, APRIL 10th 2010 ~ Doors will open & the show will start promptly @ 8:00PM.

Unlike a typical 'theme party' - arriving 'fashionably late' to the Bash will result in your missing out on on a ton of fun ~ which our alumni attendees will certainly attest to.

Don't be surprised if you show up late and the venue is already packed with guests excitedly talking about what you missed!

In fact, it's quite common for people to show up early to be the first in the door & still remain to the very end. Therefore we recommend enjoy an early dinner nearby and/or prefunc at our Official Hotel.

Don't be late, arrive at eight!
Check out both our directions page to learn more about our venue and how to get there and our hospitality page to learn about alternative means of transportation besides driving yourself to and from the Bash!
Any member of the public over the age of 21 with a driver's license or passport to prove their age, a valid Bash ticket and wearing either a Kilt or Mini may gain entrance to the bash.

Choose the ticket package that best suits your desires.  Presently we are selling Early Bird Tickets (and you may upgrade your ticket to a package in advance of the event at anytime).
Ticket Fulfillment: Tickets are "Will Call", please check in the night of the bash for your wristbands. Those who purchase multiple tickets must take possession of the full amount at check-in and are responsible for their distribution as we will be unable to hold passes at Will Call.
While we'd prefer you wear an actual kilt - whether that be tartan plaid such as those you can pick up inexpensively from SportKilt.com or one of the alternative varieties such as Utilikilts, NeoKilts, etc. - some people have shown up to the event in so little as a plaid bathrobe cinched around their waste with a belt.  Be creative if you'd like - the main difference between a kilt and a skirt is that a skirt is typically either flat or pleated "all the way around" a kilt is "pleated in the back & flat in the front".  For more ideas check out our Official Kilt & Mini Shopping Guide containing all kinds of links on where to buy, rent or how to make your own kilt.
Yes indeed a regular miniskirt will grant you access to the Bash, though it will unfortunately not qualify you to participate in our attempt to set a Guinness World Record.  For that you will need a mini kilt or kilt.  For more ideas check out our Official Kilt & Mini Shopping Guide containing all kinds of links on where to buy mini skirts and mini kilts.
